Paloma del Río performs in LA

In celebration of the 198th anniversary of Mexican independence, the University of Guadalajara at Los Angeles (UDGLA), and in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate, sponsored a performance by the Mexican singer Paloma del Río at the Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park on September 14, 2008.
The singer of Ranchera music Paloma del Río has performed at sporting, cultural and television events both nationally and internationally. Over the past few years she has supported the promotion of Mexican culture, traditions and music both in Mexico and abroad.
On this occasion, she participated in the season of summer concerts at the Levitt Pavilion that is organized each year to promote positive changes in the community and the local community, as well as to support the renewal of the historic MacArthur Park.
