Social commitment: education, art and culture for all

In keeping with its mission, the University of Guadalajara has set out to extend its educational services to the Los Angeles, California area. This initiative, which is being implemented progressively as funding from external sources is secured, will offer technical, continuing, high school and university-level educational services, as well as cultural and artistic promotion programs, to the Mexican and Hispanic community living in and around Los Angeles. This initiative will also create new pathways to personal growth and strengthen the sense of identity and belonging of this population and thus facilitate their integration into the broader society.

Operating a satellite location in LA will also enable us to build new academic partnerships and establish links with local communities and institutions, which will in turn enhance our university’s international profile.
